Word - storing character formats - if you have multiple formats that you use often, (example: New York 18 point, bold, underlined) make use of the Glossary for fast retrieval. Format a word (or a single letter) the way you want it. Copy it, pull out the Glossary, type a name (something you will remember - like NYB (New York Bold)) and paste. You have now stored the format. To retrieve the format, type the name and hit COMMAND-BACKSPACE, the letter (s) you originally formatted appears. Backspace over it and type your text.
